| Description |
Specificity: 14-3-3. Species Cross Reactivity: Reacts with: Human, Bovine, Rat, Mouse, Amphibia, Chicken, Fungal, Plants, ReptileBased on sequence similarity, is expected to react with: Mammals N.B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species. Specificity Note: This product recognises all isoforms of the 14-3-3 protein family. The 14-3-3 family consists of 30kD proteins that are involved in multiple cellular processes including protein kinase signalling pathways, regulation of cell cycle progression, transcription and intracellular trafficking. Protein interactions with 14-3-3 show distinct preferences for its different isoforms and are regulated by phosphorylation of both 14-3-3 and the bound protein. Immunogen: Mixture of synthetic peptides corresponding to all isoforms of sheep 14-3-3. Function: Adapter protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signaling pathway. Binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. Negative regulator of osteogenesis By similarity. Subunit structure: Homodimer. Interacts with SSH1 and TORC2/CRTC2. Interacts with ABL1 (phosphorylated form); the interaction results in cytoplasmic location of ABL1 and inhition of cABL-mediated apoptosis. Interacts with ROR2 (dimer); the interaction results in phosphorylation of YWHAB on tyrosine residues. Interacts with GAB2 and YAP1 By similarity. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Melanosome By similarity. Post-translational modification: Form alpha differs from form beta in being phosphorylated. Ref.3 Sequence similarities: Belongs to the 14-3-3 family. |
