PA1-4647 detects 14-3-3 Protein in rat samples. Expected to cross react with bovine, canine, chicken, human, murine, non-human primate, Xenopus laevis and zebrafish due to sequence homology. PA1-4647 has been successfully used in Western blotting. It is specific for the ~29 kDa 14-3-3 protein. Immunolabeling of the 14-3-3 protein band is completely blocked by pre-adsorption of the antibody with the C-terminal peptide that was used to generate the antibody. PA1-4647 immunogen is a peptide corresponding to amino acid residues from the C-terminal region of 14-3-3 protein, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). The sequence of the immunogen is identical in rat, human, mouse, bovine, canine, chicken, non-human primate, zebrafish and Xenopus. Figure 1 shows a Western blot of 10 µg of rat brain hippocampus lysate showing immunolabeling of the ~29 kDa 14-3-3 protein. |
