Description A fluorescent Thioflavin-T (Cat. No. 596200) derivative that exhibits high affinity for amyloid deposits (Ki = 11 nM for Aβ 40). Crosses the blood brain barrier and displays up to 50-fold higher affinity than ThT (Cat. No. 596200). Selectively stains cerebral plaques and cerebrovascular amyloid deposits in the brains of PS1/APP transgenic mice. Exhibits good clearance in normal rodent brain.
