This section of the Directory performs keyword searches for a wide variety of products and services. It will look for all of the terms in your search string, so if you use many words in your string it may take a little longer and produce fewer results than a search using only one or two terms. The order of the words does not matter (e.g. "Human CD95" will return the same results as "CD95, human"). If you get no results (or too few), try broadening your search by using a shorter search string, alternate name, or alternate spellings for your search term(s).

In general, Greek characters are spelled out in English, e.g. "gamma-Interferon", "beta-Amyloid" etc. so that you can include them in your search term. It is best to use a hyphen or a space to separate the Greek letter from the rest of the search term, but due to some inconsistency in  how  different suppliers punctuate with Greek letters, you may want to do an extra search without a hyphen or space (e.g. "betaAmyloid") to make sure you find all possible results.

If you get too many results, you can narrow your search by adding search terms and/or using the pull down menu to limit the results. The
"Product Type" pull down menu allows you to focus your search on specific categories of products for which you are searching. Note that many searches will generate results in multiple categories: for example, a search for "TNF-alpha" will generate results in the "Proteins, Enzymes..." , "Kits: Detection..." and "Contract Testing and Assay Services" categories. So, if you are looking for an ELISA Kit for TNF-alpha, it may save you time to select the "Kits: Detection..." category from the pull down menu when you do your search.

If you get more than 50 results, you may also filter by supplier: just select the supplier(s) of interest on the list that appears, and then click the "Search" button again to see only their products that match your search term.

If you are looking for isotype controls or other preimmune immunoglobulins, select “Immunoglobulins, Isotype Controls, Chains, Fragments & Conjugates”  from the "Product Type" pull down menu. Then search for the species and immunoglobulin of interest (e.g. “Mouse IgG2a”, “Human Kappa Chain”, “Chicken IgY” etc.). If you want a labeled control, include the conjugate name in your search (e.g. "Mouse IgG2a FITC").
