| Description |
Optimally infected cells are disrupted by sonication and then subjected to low speed centrifugation. The clarified cell lysate is pooled with supernatant from the infected culture and concentrated using crossflow ultrafiltration. The resulting antigen preparation contains a high concentration of virus and viral components as well as some cellular material in MEM. Microbix antigens can be usedas is in a variety of proven immunoassay procedures or may be further purified for specific applications. Microbix recommends that antigen preparations are sonicated before use. Microbix manufactures all of its own antigens and is prepared to work with your organization to meet your specific requirements. We are aware of no specific hazards associated with this product. The reagent has been inactivated and should contain no infectious material. Generally accepted good laboratory practices appropriate to biological reagents should be employed when handling this product. |
