| Description | Purified anti-MAG. Myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) is a cell membrane glycoprotein and a member of the siglec (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectins) family. MAG has two isoforms in myelinated structures in the nervous system. MAG is expressed on oligodendrocytes and Schwann cells and is believed to be involved in myelination during nerve regeneration. MAG knockout mice develop quite severe pathological abnormalities associated with myelin instability. |
