DescriptionTrkA Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA430 recognizes the human TrkA antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein which is also known as neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 1 (NTRK1). TrkA is a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor family and is involved in the development and the maturation of the central and peripheral nervous systems through regulation of proliferation, differentiation, and survival of sympathetic and nervous neurons. TrkA is the high affinity catalytic receptor for the nerve growth factor (NGF). As such, it mediates the multiple effects of NGF, which include neuronal differentiation and avoidance of programmed cell death. Although originally isolated from neural tissues, a growing body of evidence supports a role for TrkA in tumorigenesis in non-neural tumors, primarily carcinomas. | Additional information: Clone REA430 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
