| Description | This antibody recognizes the human Interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor. Cultured human T cells were used as immunogen. This antibody was produced in tissue culture supernatants. The antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometry. The monoclonal CD25 antibody inhibits the proliferation of Interleukin-2 (IL-2)-dependent human continuous T-cell lines. It blocks the human T-cell receptor for IL-2 by binding to the alpha-chain of the IL-2 receptor. In antigen-induced T-cell proliferative assays, the addition of highly purified IL-2 reverses the inhibitory effects of anti-Tac. |
