Description | STAT3 (Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3) is a transcription factor which in humans is encoded by the STAT3 gene.1 The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT protein family. STATs are latent transcription factors that mediate cytokine- and growth factor-directed transcription. In many human cancers and transformed cell lines, Stat3 is persistently activated, and in cell culture, active Stat3 is either required for transformation, enhances transformation, or blocks apoptosis.2 |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthetic peptide (conjugated with KLH) corresponding to the N-terminal of mouse STAT3. |
