Description | Specificity: Human CD80/B7-1. CD80, also known as BB1/B7-1, is a 60 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is expressed on activated B cells, T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. It is a ligand of the two T cell costimulatory molecules, CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). The interaction of CD80 (or CD86) with CD28 provides a costimulatory signal for T cells activated through the CD3/TCR complex. |
