Description | CD66e Antibody, anti-human, Biotin, REAfinity™. Clone REA876 recognizes the human CD66e antigen, a member of the immunoglobin superfamily which is also known as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) or CEA-related cell adhesion molecules 5 (CEACAM5). CD66e is GPI-linked glycosylated protein found in adenocarcinomas of endodermally derived digestive system epithelium and fetal colon. CD66e and other CEACAMs are host receptors for the Dr family of adhesins of Escherichia coli. CD66e is an intercellular adhesion molecule and is able to inhibit cellular differentiation. The overexpression of CD66e is used as an indicator for tumor invasiveness. | Additional information: Clone REA876 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
