Description | Cytokeratin HMW Antibody, anti-human, APC, REAfinity™. Clone REA914 recognizes the human Cytokeratin HMW (High Molecular Weight), which includes the cytokeratins 1,5,10 and 14. Keratins are polypeptides with keratin-containing intermediate filaments, which play a critical role in mechanical stability and integrity of epithelial cells and tissues, have regulatory functions and are involved in intracellular signaling pathways. Clone REA914 detects squamous and ductal epithelium and other complex epithelia in normal tissues, e.g. basal cells in prostate, and myoepithelial cells in breast and corresponding tumors. | Additional information: Clone REA914 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
