Description | CD97 Antibody, anti-human, Vio® Bright B515, REAfinity™. Clone REA1242 reacts with the human CD97 antigen, a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-TM7 family of cell surface receptors. CD97 is expressed by various cell types of the hematopoietic system and also on smooth muscle cells. Highest constitutive expression is found on granulocytes and monocytes. Lymphocytes express CD97 at lower level (T and NK cells expressing higher levels than B cells) but on T cells CD97 is upregulated upon activation via CD3 and CD28 or PHA. CD97 is a ligand for CD55 (decay-accelerating factor, DAF) and has been shown to mediate cell adhesion and co-stimulation of T cell proliferation. | Additional information: Clone REA1242 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
