DescriptionChromogranin A Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL1033 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Chromogranin A antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity | Clone REAL1033 recognizes Chromogranin A, also known as parathyroid secretory protein 1, CHGA or CgA. Chromogranin A is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It functions as a precursor of different peptides such as vasostatin 1 and 2, catestatin, pancreastatin or parastatin and modulates the formation of secretory vesicles. It is detected in secretory vesicles of neurons and in several endocrine tissues including the adrenal medulla, pituitary, paraganglia, beta cells of pancreas, thyroid, and parathyroid. It is used as a marker for carcinoid tumors, insulinoma, pheochromocytomas, medullary thyroid carcinoma, paragangliomas, neuroblastoma and other neuro-endocrine tumors. Increasing Chromogranin A levels can also lead to non-malignant diseases such as gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
