Description | CD3 Antibody, anti-human, APC, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL1097 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD3 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1097 recognizes the human CD3 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein, also known as Leu4. CD3 is present on mature human T cells and related neoplasms, thymocytes, a subset of NK cells, and on Purkinje cells in cerebellum. The CD3 antigen is a complex of five invariable chains: γ, δ, ε, ζ, and η. It is associated with the T cell receptor (TCR) and is responsible for its signal transduction. Activation and proliferation of T cells can be induced by interaction of the T cell receptor with peptide-MHC complexes expressed on the surface of APCs. The T cell receives a signal transduced through the CD3 complex. Cytokines or other costimulatory signals are required in addition. Activated T cells can be used for any downstream processes, such as cytokine analysis or immunoprecipitation. Cells can also be transfected with high efficiency. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
