Description | CD207 (Langerin) Antibody, anti-mouse, APC, REAfinity™. Clone REA822 recognizes the mouse CD207 antigen, also known as Langerin, which is a 48 kDa transmembrane type II C-type lectin containing a single carbohydrate recognition domain in its extracellular region. Langerin is specifically expressed on epidermal Langerhans cells and dermal CD103+ dendritic cells. It displays Ca 2)+-dependent binding specificity for mannose, N-acetyl-glucosamine, and fucose and is involved in antigen recognition, uptake, and transport to the Birbeck granules, whose formation is dependent on Langerin expression. The CD207 epitope shows trypsin as well as collagenase sensitivity. | Additional information: Clone REA822 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
