| Description | This antibody was raised against rat somatostatin receptor-5 (SSTr5) and recognizes SSTr5 in human and rat. The SSTr5 monoclonal antibody was developed using a peptide corresponding to the extracellular amino terminal domain of rat SSTr5 conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometry. Somatostatin Receptor-5 is one of the five subtypes termed SSTr1-5. They are G-protein-coupled receptors characterized by seven transmembrane helices with an extracellular amino terminal domain and an intracellular carboxy terminus.
