| Description | This IL6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 27-55 amino acids from the Central region of human IL6. This gene encodes a cytokine that functions ininflammation and the maturation of B cells. The protein isprimarily produced at sites of acute and chronic inflammation,where it is secreted into the serum and induces a transcriptionalinflammatory response through interleukin 6 receptor, alpha. Thefunctioning of this gene is implicated in a wide variety ofinflammation-associated disease states, including suspectibility todiabetes mellitus and systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. |
