| Description | The antibody recognizes the human human ADP ribosylation factor 6 (Arf6) protein. The ARF subfamily comprises a group of proteins that are members of the Ras superfamily of small guanosine triphosphatases (small GTPases). Six ARFs have been identified by related gene products from different species. These 6 members can be divided into three classes on the basis of their size and amino acid sequence homology. ARF6 is the only member of the Class III. ARF6 has a variety of cellular functions that are frequently involved in trafficking of biological membranes and transmembrane protein cargo and has specifically been implicated in endocytosis of plasma membrane proteins and plasma membrane protein recycling. |
