Description | This STAT3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human STAT3, aa 711-743. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STATprotein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STATfamily members are phosphorylated by the receptor associatedkinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate tothe cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. Thisprotein is activated through phosphorylation in response to variouscytokines and growth factors including IFNs, EGF, IL5, IL6, HGF,LIF and BMP2. This protein mediates the expression of a variety ofgenes in response to cell stimuli, and thus plays a key role |
