| Description | Specificity: Human CaMKII Delta / CAMK2D. CAMK2Delta, together with the alpha, beta, and gamma subunits, constititutes the CAMK2 heteromultimeric holoenzyme serine/threonine kinase. CAMK2D is predominately expressed in the heart, and thought to be involved in cardiac function. It has been shown that CAMK2D can induce hypertrophy and dilation by associating with PP2A. Diverse tissue-specific variants are produced alternative splicing. Various splice isoforms are produced throughout cellular and neuronal differentiation. |
