| Description | Specificity: peptide corresponding to 14 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human PKR. PRKR is a Translational Control type protein kinase. PRKR, induced by interferon (IFN) and activated by double-stranded RNA in the presence of ATP, inhibits translation by phosphorylating the initiation factor eIF2alpha chain. PRKR activation has been linked to the Huntington disease process. |
