| Description | This FCGR2B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 250-279 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human FCGR2B. The protein encoded by this gene is a low affinityreceptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma complexes. Theencoded protein is involved in the phagocytosis of immune complexesand in the regulation of antibody production by B-cells. Variationsin this gene may increase susceptibilty to systemic lupuserythematosus (SLE). Several transcript variants encoding differentisoforms have been found for this gene. |
