Product Name | Recombinant human Serglycin/SRGN protein |
Description | Domain: 28-158aa. Recombinant human SRGN protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW: 17.4 kDa (156aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher). Purity > 90% by SDS-PAGE. SRGN is a protein best known as a hematopoietic cell granule proteoglycan. Proteoglycans stored in the secretory granules of many hematopoietic cells also contain a protease-resistant peptide core, which may be important for neutralizing hydrolytic enzymes. This protein was found to be associated with the macromolecular complex of granzymes and perforin, which may serve as a mediator of granule-mediated apoptosis. Two transcript variants, only one of them protein-coding, have been found for this gene |
