Product Name | Recombinant human SPINK1 protein |
Description | Domain: 24-79aa. Recombinant human SPINK1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW: 8.6 kDa (79aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF. Purity > 90% by SDS-PAGE. SPINK1 is a trypsin inhibitor, which is secreted from pancreatic acinar cells into pancreatic juice. It is thought to function in the prevention of trypsin-catalyzed premature activation of zymogens within the pancreas and the pancreatic duct. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary pancreatitis and tropical calcific pancreatitis |
