Product Name | Fractalkine |
Description | Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE. Fractalkine is a large cytokine protein containing multiple domains and is the only known member of the CX3C chemokine family. Fractalkine is produced as a long protein (with 373-amino acid in humans) with an extended mucin-like stalk and a chemokine domain on top. The mucin-like stalk permits it to bind to the surface of certain cells. Fractalkine elicits its adhesive and migratory functions by interacting with the chemokine receptor CX3CR1. RANDOX recombinant Fractalkine comprises a 76 amino acid fragment (25-100) corresponding to the chemokine domain of the fractalkine protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use. |
