| Description | Purified anti-Aquaporin-4. Aquaporin-4 (AQP4) is a member of the water-selective channel family that is predominantly expressed in astrocytes in the central nervous system. AQP4 is a regulator of water homeostasis by exchanging water across the endfoot membranes in the brain. This protein is vital for maintaining the normal level of cerebrospinal fluid influx into the brain cortex, parenchyma, and perivascular space. |
