Description | Purified anti-TRIP8b. TRIP8b is a protein that binds to and regulates hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels, an important class of voltage-gated channels. Binding of TRIP8b to HCN channels causes them to open at more hyperpolarized potentials, as TRIP8b antagonizes the binding of cyclic nucleotides. Additionally, TRIP8b affects HCN channel subcellular localization. Via these functions, TRIP8b plays a role in learning and memory, major depressive disorder, and epilepsy. |
