| Description | Purified anti-Aldolase C. Aldolase C is one of the three aldolase isozymes and plays a key role in ATP biosynthesis. It participates in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis by catalyzing the conversion of fructose-1-6-biphosphate to glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, or glyceraldehyde, and di-hydroxy-acetone-phosphate. In addition, it is part of the stress-response pathway induced by hypoxia. It has been found that Aldolase C is upregulated in the brains of schizophrenia patients.
