| Description | Purified anti-Gephyrin. Gephyrin (GPHN) is a scaffold protein that anchors glycine and GABA receptors to the tubulin cytoskeleton in the postsynaptic terminal of inhibitory synapses. Gephyrin?s function as a scaffolding protein is regulated at transcriptional and translational levels, which impact the formation and plasticity of GABAergic synapses, as well as the overall strength of GABAergic transmission.
