| Description | Rabbit polyclonal to CHEK1.Serine/threonine-protein kinase Chk1 (CHEK1) belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family.CHEK1 is required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage or thepresence of unreplicated DNA. CHEK1 also acts to integrate signals from A and ATR, two cellcycle proteins involved in DNA damage responses, that also associate with chromatin in meioticprophase I. Phosphorylation of CDC25A protein phosphatase by CHEK1 is required for cells to delaycell cycle progression in response to double-strand DNA breaks. |
