Description | Mouse Anti-RELN Monoclonal Antibody (CBP1217) |
Immunogen | Recombinant fusion protein, corresponding to amino acids 164-496 of Mouse Reelin |
Other Names | Reelin (RELN) is a secreted large extracellular matrix glycoprotein that can help regulate neuronal migration and localization in the developing brain by controlling cell-cell interactions. In addition to playing an important role in early development; Reelin also continues to play a role in the adult brain. It regulates synaptic plasticity by enhancing the induction and maintenance of long-term potentiation. It also stimulates the development of dendrites and dendritic spines and regulates the continued migration of neuroblasts produced in adult neurogenesis sites (such as the subventricular and subgranular regions). It is found not only in the brain; but also in the liver; thyroid; adrenal glands; fallopian tubes; and breasts; and is also low in a range of anatomical regions. |
