| Description | Rabbit anti-MM-1 Antibody, Affinity Purified. Myc modulator 1 (MM-1) is also known as Prefoldin subunit 5. MM-1 binds specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. MM-1 binds to nascent polypeptide chain and promotes folding in an environment in which there are many competing pathways for non-native proteins. MM-1 has been show to represses the transcriptional activity of MYC [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q99471]. |
