Description | Specificity: Recognizes mouse CDw198, otherwise known as CCR8 (C-C chemokine receptor type 8), a transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, which acts a high-affinity receptor for the chemokine I-309 (CCL1), implicated in the regulation of monocyte chemotaxis and thymocyte apoptosis. CDw198 is constitutively expressed by monocytes, preferentially expressed on Th2 (type 2 helper T) cells, and acts as a co-receptor with CD4 for HIV1 infection. |
