Description | Notch2 Antibody, anti-mouse, APC. Clone HMN2-35 recognizes Notch2, a member of the Notch receptor family. Notch2 acts as a receptor for the membrane bound ligands Jagged1, Jagged2 and Delta1. Notch signaling pathway is evolutionary conserved in the animal kingdom, where Notch receptors upon ligand binding undergo two proteolytic cleavages. The second cleavage releases the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which translocates into the nucleus, forms an activator complex with the DNA binding protein RBP-J and activates genes of the enhancer of split locus. Notch signaling network regulates a number of biological processes involved in determination of cell fate, cell differentiation and apoptosis etc. |
