Description | IL-17E Antibody, anti-mouse, FITC, REAfinity™. Clone REA952 recognizes the mouse interleukin 17E (IL-17E) antigen. IL-17 is a family of pro-inflammatory cytokines that plays a central role in adaptive immunity as well as autoinflammatory disorders. Data from several mouse models suggest that IL-17 plays a key role in the host defense against certain extracellular bacterial infections. IL-17E is suggested to be an important mediator of allergic disease via production of IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, and eotaxin. IL-17E expression is found in low levels in different peripheral tissues, e.g., prostate, testis, trachea, brain, kidney, and lung. | Additional information: Clone REA952 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
