Description | p70 S6 Kinase Antibody, anti-human/mouse/rat, Vio® B515, REAfinity™. Clone REA843 recognizes the intracellular p70 S6 Kinase, also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase beta-1. It is a serine/threonine kinase that is widely expressed in the cytosol and in the nucleus. It mediates cell cycle progression and is involved in the regulation of protein synthesis. The p70 S6 kinase is localized in cytosol and in the nucleus, after cytokine stimulation. TNF-receptor activation leads to activation of the p70 S6 kinase, which increases protein synthesis and cell proliferation. In addition, p70 S6 kinase is a major effector of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) phosphorylation. | Additional information: Clone REA843 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
