Description | CD36 Antibody, anti-human, FITC, REAfinity™. Clone REA760 recognizes the human CD36 antigen, an integral membrane protein, which is a member of the class B scavenger receptor family of cell surface proteins. CD36 is expressed on various epithelial and endothelial cells as well as erythrocytes, platelets, monocytes, and macrophages, and some macrophage-derived dendritic cells. CD36 functions as a scavenger receptor for long chain fatty acids, oxidized LDL, collagen type I, IV, and V, and thrombospondin, as well as for apoptotic cells. CD36 is an early marker of erythroid differentiation. | Additional information: Clone REA760 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
