DescriptionIL-17F Antibody, anti-mouse, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA666 recognizes the mouse interleukin 17F (IL-17F) antigen, a cytokine which is expressed by a subset of activated T cells in the lamina propria. IL-17F belongs to the IL-17 gene family, which consists of six members (IL-17A, IL-17B, IL-17C, IL-17D, IL-17E, and IL-17F). All members have a similar protein structure, with four highly conserved cysteine residues critical to their 3-dimensional shape. The isoforms of IL-17F 1 and 2 (ML-1) have the highest homology to IL-17A. It has been reported, that IL-17-producing T lymphocytes comprise a distinct lineage of proinflammatory T helper cells, termed T?17 cells, that are major contributors to autoimmune disease. IL-17F plays a role in the induction of neutrophilia in the lungs and in the exacerbation of Ag-induced pulmonary inflammation. | Additional information: Clone REA666 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
