Description | Cadherin-13 Antibody, anti-human, APC, REAfinity™. Clone REA752 recognizes the human cadherin-13 antigen, also known as T-Cadherin or H-Cadherin (heart cadherin). Cadherin-13 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates calcium-dependent intercellular adhesion. | It is suggested that cadherin-13 may function as a negative regulator of neural cell growth. Cadherin-13 is expressed human adult cerebral cortex, medulla, thalamus, and midbrain. In developing brain, a lower expression is found than in adult brain. Furthermore, cadherin-13 is expressed in the basal layer of the epidermis, lung, liver, kidney, and blood vessels. It is reported, that cadherin-13 could be used as a marker for breast cancer development. | Additional information: Clone REA752 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
