DescriptionCD122 (IL-2Rβ) Antibody, anti-human, PE-Vio® 615, REAfinity™. Clone REA167 recognizes CD122, the 75 KDa β subunit of the high and intermediate affinity interleukin 2 receptor (IL-2R). CD122 is a type I transmembrane protein, and together with α subunit (CD25) or with α and γ (CD132) subunit, it forms the heteromeric intermediate and high affinity IL-2 receptors, respectively. In addition, CD122 is also a component of the IL-15 receptor complex. Expression of CD122 is found constitutively in CD8 cytotoxic T cells but not in CD4 T? cells and is further induced upon T cell activation. CD16+ NK lymphocytes also express CD122 constitutively. CD122 is essential for IL-2 signaling. | Additional information: Clone REA167 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. ?????
