DescriptionCD209b (SIGN-R1) Antibody, anti-mouse, PE-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA125 recognizes the mouse CD209b antigen, a single-pass type II membrane protein also known as DC-SIGN-related protein 1 (SIGN-R1). CD209b was identified by examination of the mouse genome in search of the complete set of proteins related to the human glycan binding receptor CD209 (DC-SIGN). Unlike the human CD209, mouse CD209b is not expressed on dendritic cells (DCs) but is on splenic marginal zone, lymph node, and peritoneal macrophages. Its high affinity for murine ICAM-2, and its localization at sites that are in close contact with blood, suggest a role for CD209b in lymphocyte migration from the blood into tissues. Moreover, marginal zone macrophages in the spleen efficiently capture blood-borne antigens in vivo through CD209b. CD209b has also been shown to interact with the TLR signaling system, with CD209b associating with the TLR4-MD2 complex to enhance signal transduction in response to LPS in Gram-negative bacteria in vitro. | Additional information: Clone REA125 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
