DescriptionCD217 (IL-17RA) Antibody, anti-human, PE-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA290 recognizes the human CD217 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein which is also known as interleukin-17 receptor A (IL-17RA). CD217 is a ubiquitously expressed receptor and subsequently shown to bind interleukin 17 (IL-17) with high affinity. IL-17 is an inflammatory cytokine that acts as a potent mediator in delayed-type reactions by increasing chemokine production in various tissues to recruit monocytes and neutrophils to the site of inflammation. It also plays critical roles in the pathogenesis of multiple autoimmune diseases. CD217 forms heterodimeric complexes with several other members of its receptor family, including IL-17RC for IL-17A and IL-17F signaling and IL-17RC for IL-17E (IL-25) signaling. | Additional information: Clone REA290 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors |
