Description | CD11c Antibody, anti-human, FITC, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL235 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD11c antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL235 recognizes the human CD11c antigen, a 145-150 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein, which is also known as integrin αX or CR4. It is expressed on monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, myeloid dendritic cells (MDCs), and subsets of T and B cells. On myeloid dendritic cells, CD11c is highly expressed on type 1 myeloid dendritic cells (CD1c (BDCA-1)+ CD123low MDC1s) and low on type 2 myeloid dendritic cells (CD1c (BDCA-1)- CD123- MDC2s). CD11c, also known as integrin integrin αX or CR4, has been reported to play a role in adhesion and CTL killing through its interactions with fibrinogen, CD54, and iC3b. | CD11c is an essential marker for the differentiation of HCL (hairy cell leukemia) from other small B-cell lymphomas. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
