DescriptionCD344 (Frizzled-4) Antibody, anti-human, PerCP-Vio® 700. Clone CH3A4A7 recognizes an extracellular epitope of the human CD344 antigen, a multi-pass membrane protein which is also known as Frizzled family receptor 4 (FZD4) or Frizzled-4. CD344 is expressed by neuronal stem cells and also found on fetal neuronal progenitor cells and neuronal intestinal cells. It is a member of the Frizzled family of proteins which encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that are receptors for the wingless-type MMTV integration site family of signaling proteins. CD344 is involved in the activation of Wnt/β-catenin pathway (canonic Wnt signaling). It is the only representative of frizzled family members that binds strongly an additional ligand norrin that is functionally similar but structurally different from wingless-type proteins. CD344 signaling induced by norrin regulates vascular development of vertebrate retina and controls important blood vessels in the ear.
