Description | Notch2 Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA1204 recognizes human Notch2, a member of the Notch receptor family. Upon binding its membrane-bound ligand of the Delta-like or Jagged family members (Jagged1, Jagged2, and Delta1), the Notch receptor undergoes two proteolytic cleavage steps eventually releasing the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which subsequently translocates into the nucleus, where it activates transcription within a multiprotein complex. The Notch signaling is essential for the physiologic development of natural killer (NK) cells. Notch2 is expressed on various hematopetic cells, including T cell precursors in the thymus and activated peripheral T cells. In addition, the altered expression of Notch2 in various leukemias, lymphomas, and cancers has been reported. | Additional information: Clone REA1204 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
