Description | CD142 Antibody, anti-human, FITC. The monoclonal antibody HTF-1 recognizes the 45 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as TF (tissue factor). It functions as the high-affinity receptor for the coagulation factor VII and enables cells to initiate the blood coagulation cascades. It is reported, that the tissue factor exists in a membrane-bound and in a soluble form. It is expressed on activated endothelial cells and on monocytes, macrophages, and platelets, which are stimulated with inflammatory mediators such as LPS or TNF alpha. CD142 is also present on some tumor cells such as lung, breast, pancreatic, and colon, and on non-immune-tissues. |
