Description | EphA2 Antibody, anti-mouse, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA579 recognizes the mouse EphA2 antigen, which is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinases that are activated in response to binding ephrin. The ephrin receptor (Eph) family of receptor tyrosine kinases is the largest family of receptor tyrosine kinases. | Ephs are divided into two subclasses, EphAs and EphBs, based on sequence similarity and on their binding affinity to ephrin-A ligands or the transmembrane-bound ephrin-B ligands. | Eph receptors and ephrins regulate the adhesion of endothelial cells and are required for the remodeling of blood vessels and may be involved in cell-cell interactions guiding early hindbrain development. It is up-regulated on many aggressive carcinoma cells including aggressive ovarian, cervical and breast carcinomas, and lung cancer. | Additional information: Clone REA579 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
