| Description | Amyloid A Antibody, anti-human, FITC, REAfinity™. Clone REA931 recognizes the human protein Amyloid A type AA, located in plasma. Amyloid A, an acute phase marker, is an apolipoprotein of the HDL (high-density lipoprotein) complex, which is highly expressed in response to inflammation and tissue injury. Amyloid A increases the export of free cholesterol/phospholipid for reuse in the membranes of several cells, which are neccessary during acute inflammation and repair. REA931 recognizes amyloid deposits in all organs and tissues, also kidney and rectum. | Additional Information: Clone REA931 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
