Description | CD317 (BST2) Antibody, anti-human, PE-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA202 recognizes the CD317 antigen, which is a lipid raft-associated type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD317 is composed of a short N-terminal cytosolic domain, a transmembrane domain, and a C-terminal glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol anchor. Expression of CD317 is upregulated in the presence of IFN-α on T and B cells, is found on the apical surface of polarized epithelial cells, and on myeloma cells. CD317 expression is also found in an intracellular pool and the protein cycles between this intracellular pool and the cell surface in a clathrin dependent manner. It has been shown to play a role in regulating the growth and development of B cells, cell adhesion, cell migration, and in cultured cells. CD317 restricts the release of formed viral particles at the surface of infected cells. | Additional information: Clone REA202 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |
